"Ideas and creative juices flow from my eastern roots which I have attempted to merge into a fusion of colour wonderful fabric and 'art'. The reason for my label 'Nabeela' beside the obvious is that the Arabic meaning means "purity" something which I would like my clothing to be recognised by. "

About Nabeela Couture

As a young girl I always dreamt of making or creating my own garments. Playing dress-up was one of my favourite games while growing up...
Coming from an environment that had many seamstresses and dressmakers just brought me closer to going further with my passion and that is when I decided to turn it into my career.
I matriculated in 2004 and begun my studies immediately thereafter...

In 2007 I graduated with a B.A in fashion design from the DESIGN SCHOOL SOUTHERN AFRICA, and received a diploma from the LONDON COLLEGE OF ARTS. This served as the building blocks in my career and has equipped me with the necessary tools to head into the fashion world.

My inspiration for each range comes from a variety of stimuli, for example the diverse and eccentric people that I have met over the years. For me Fashion is an art...I am creating custom garments that will benefit and enrich the individual, both her outer appearance as well as enhancing her inner self confidence. Nabeela Couture is created for the GLOBAL sophisticated, funky and modern woman

Ideas and creative juices flow from my eastern roots which I have attempted to merge into a fusion of colour wonderful fabric and 'art'. The reason for my label 'Nabeela' beside the obvious is that the Arabic meaning means "purity" something which I would like my clothing to be recognised by.

Fashion has become a part of my life and it has redefined me as an individual. I was honoured to be part of the SANLAM SA Fashion Week in 2008 at a young age, something I’ve always wished for, after that I was part of the “dress the presenter initiative” on SABC, Nabeela Couture also opened their first boutique store late 2008…from there its been an amazing adventure with many experiences to remember.

We are also proud to announce that we showcased our very first summer range @ the Dubai fashion fiesta 09… and it’s been great ever since!!! I am grateful to my creator for all that has happened over such a short time period. Many thanks to those around me for keeping me motivated…

Love
